Install AIKeyMoji from the App Store and open it once so iOS recognizes the keyboard.
Open the iOS Settings app on your iPhone.
General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard → AIKeyMoji.
Tap AIKeyMoji in the keyboard list and turn on "Allow Full Access". This is required for the keyboard to read sticker images you create.
Yes — the keyboard is optional. The main app already gives you everything you need: browse the 728 built-in stickers, search, create stickers from photos and videos, run AI Remix. Tap any sticker to open it, then use the Share button to send it directly to Messages, WhatsApp, or any other app, or Copy to Clipboard and paste it wherever you like.
Installing the AIKeyMoji keyboard is just a shortcut for sending stickers without leaving the chat. If you don't want to enable a custom keyboard, the app on its own works perfectly fine.
iOS keyboards don't have access to files by default. Allow Full Access lets the AIKeyMoji keyboard read sticker images that the main app saved to a private container on your device. We never read or transmit anything you type.
Yes. There are no subscriptions, no ads, no in-app purchases.
AIKeyMoji uses Apple's on-device AI exclusively: Vision (for background removal and frame extraction) and Foundation Models (for AI Remix). On supported devices it also uses Apple Intelligence. No third-party AI services or cloud models are involved — every AI feature runs locally on your iPhone.
Three differences. (1) Privacy: Bitmoji, Sticker.ly, and similar apps require an account and upload your content to their servers. AIKeyMoji has no servers and no account. (2) Source: Most sticker apps give you avatars or pre-made packs. AIKeyMoji turns your own photos and videos into stickers using AI. (3) Price: Free with no ads or upsells.
They never leave your iPhone. The app processes them locally with Apple's Vision and Foundation Models frameworks, then discards the original. The only thing kept is the sticker you chose to create.
Yes. All AI features are on-device. The app does not require a network connection at any point.
Open any chat. Tap the globe key on the keyboard until AIKeyMoji appears (or long-press the globe to pick it from a list). Tap any sticker — it copies to the clipboard. Paste it into the chat and send.
Make sure Allow Full Access is on for AIKeyMoji in iOS Settings. If it is, switch keyboards once (e.g., to Emoji) and back to AIKeyMoji to refresh. The grid auto-loads when the keyboard appears.
The Vision framework looks for a clear, well-lit subject against a distinguishable background. Try a brighter photo with a single prominent subject. Some photos with very busy backgrounds or small subjects may not work well.
That error usually appears when running on the iOS Simulator, which doesn't fully support every AI model. Run the app on a physical iPhone and the error should go away.
Long-press a sticker in the grid to bring up options. To delete all stickers and reset, uninstall and reinstall the app — because everything is local, that wipes the data.
Yes — it runs on iPad, and the keyboard works in any iPad app with text input. iOS 17 or later required.
